Andrey Gangan has been appointed as the director of the Monetary Policy Department starting from October 2.
By the order of the Chairman of the Bank of Russia, Andrey Gangan, as of October 2, 2024, he has been appointed the director of the Monetary Policy Department.
Previously, he served as the first deputy director of this department. Andrey Gangan joined the Bank of Russia in 2011 and has held various positions related to the development and implementation of monetary policy.
Kirill Tremasov, who headed the Monetary Policy Department since 2020, is transitioning to the position of advisor to the Chairman of the Bank of Russia. He will continue to participate in the preparation of decisions on monetary policy. Furthermore, a key task in his new position will be to strengthen cooperation with the main divisions of the Bank of Russia in the areas of regional analysis and communication in the field of monetary policy.
