Companies and citizens in 2019 increased its debt by 8.6%

Debt of non-financial sector and households on Bank loans and debt securities issued1 on January 1, 2020 amounted to 61,0 trillion roubles and increased by 4.9 trillion rubles, or 8.6%, mainly due to the growth of Bank lending in rubles for debt reduction sectors in foreign currency, follows from statistics of Bank of Russia.

Debt of non-financial sector increased during the 2019 1.8 trillion rubles, or 4.5%. Valyutizatsiya debt of non-financial organizations for 2019 there was a steady decrease, amounting to 1 January 2020, 14.8 percent. The annual rate of growth debt of non-financial organisations in roubles Bank loans slowed to 8.1% at the end of the year, while the same indicator for the bond debt rose to 11.8%. Nevertheless, the structure of rouble debt non-financial institutions, as before, was formed mainly at the expense of Bank lending: the share of outstanding Bank loans in the debt structure at the beginning of January 2020 accounted for 81.4%.

Household debt increased during the year by 3 trillion rubles, to 19.1 trillion rubles on January 1, 2020, and was almost completely denominated obligations. Level valyutizatsii loans to households amounted to 1 January 2020 0.7%, which was the lowest indicator for the entire period of its calculation. The annual growth rate of household indebtedness on rouble Bank credits to January 1, 2020 amounted to 19.3%, slowed compared to the previous year by 3 percentage points.
