The Bank of Russia on December 8 December 2023 puts into circulation a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles «The Works of Leonid Gaidai» (catalog № 5111-0494).
Leonid Gaidai — an outstanding film director, screenwriter, and actor. Gaidai’s humor is timeless, it is easy, sparkling and understandable to any viewer. His films — «Operation Y and The Other Adventures of Shurik», «The Caucasian Captive», «The Diamond Hand», «Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession» and many others — admirers know them by heart, and the phrases of the characters have long been taken apart for quotations.
The silver coin with the nominal value of 3 rubles (weight of precious metal in purity — 31,1 g, alloy grade — 925) has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 39,0 mm.
