Inflation decreased in most regions in August, but remains high.
The annual price growth in August slowed down in 51 regions, most noticeably in Primorsky Krai and Kaliningrad Oblast. Overall, prices across Russia increased by 9.1% over the year, which is slightly lower than in July.
Non-food products increased in price at a slower pace: for example, electronics, cars, phones, and clothing.
At the same time, in year-on-year comparison, food products rose in price more significantly in August than in July, and among services, foreign tourism.
