The Bank of Russia on February 1, 2024 issues into circulation a commemorative silver coin with a nominal value of 3 rubles “The Temple of the Ascension of the Lord ‘Big Ascension’ at the Nikitsky Gate, Moscow” of the series “Monuments of Architecture of Russia” (catalog No. 5111-0496).

This is one of the most famous temples in Moscow. In 1831 Alexander Pushkin and Natalia Goncharova were married there

The silver coin with the nominal value of 3 rubles (weight of precious metal in purity – 31,1 g, alloy grade – 925) has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 39,0 mm.

From obverse and reverse sides of the coin there is a protruding edge on the circumference

On the obverse side of the coin there is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation, there are inscriptions: “RUSSIAN FEDERATION”, “BANK OF RUSSIA”, the nominal value of the coin: “3 RUBLE”, the date: “2024.”metal designation according to D.I. Mendeleev’s Periodic System of Elements, alloy grade, trademark of the St. Petersburg Mint and the weight of the precious metal in purity

On the reverse side of the coin there is a relief image of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord “The Great Ascension” on the background of the scene of the wedding of A.S. Pushkin and N.N. Goncharova executed in the laser matting technique. Goncharova; on the left is a miniature figure of an angel in relief; there are relief inscriptions: at the top in a circle – “THE CHRIST OF THE Ascension of the Lord “The Great Ascension” at the Nikitsky Gate”, at the bottom – “MOSCOW”
