The 5000-ruble banknote issued by the Bank of Russia in 2023 is predominantly red.

The main image on the front side of the banknote features the “Europe-Asia” stele.

The reverse side displays the “Tale of the Urals” monument in Chelyabinsk.

On the front side, in the top left corner, is the coat of arms of the Russian Federation. The reverse side includes the inscription “2023” in the upper right corner, indicating the year of issuance.

A QR code in the lower right corner of the front side links to the Bank of Russia’s website for detailed information about the banknote’s security features.

The banknote is made from white cotton paper.

The paper contains two types of security fibers: colored fibers with alternating red and blue segments, and gray fibers.

A 5.5 mm-wide holographic security thread is embedded in the paper, featuring a window in a decorative shape on the front side.

The banknote has two serial numbers located on the reverse side, consisting of a two-letter series code and a nine-digit number. The left serial number is readable along the short side of the banknote, while the right one is readable along the long side.
