The Bank of Russia banknote of the 1997 series, 10 rubles denomination, modified in 2004
The modified banknote retains the same format, color scheme, and design as the 1997 Bank of Russia series.
On the front side of the modified banknote, to the right of the tactile marks for visually impaired individuals, there is a vertically placed text that reads “MODIFICATION 2004.”
The 2004 modification of the banknote includes the following key differences:
- The paper contains three types of security fibers: red, light green, and bi-colored.
- A metallized embedded security thread is included.
- There is a field with hidden moiré strips (MVC).
- The denomination is printed in gray ink.
- The banknote’s appearance under ultraviolet and infrared light differs from that of the 1997 series.
The banknote has two serial numbers located on the front, consisting of a two-letter series code and seven digits.
